Okay, thank you!

And it would be fun to have a book review thread!

Okay, here's what I've read so far:

Celtic Tales
Bulfinch's Mythology

Okay, don't judge me, I only started like a week ago. But I'm getting somewhere!

On my immediate list:
The Book of Pirates
Great Expectations
The Call of Cthulhu
The Story of the Outlaw

Not to mention the 100+ e-books on my wishlist, fiction and otherwise. But that's a start.

I'm aiming towards 365, a book a day.(I read extremely fast, I can finish all of the lord of the rings in a day)

I read The Lord of the Rings in 2 years. That's how long it took me to comprehend the story.
To be able to read it in just a day is beyond my scope of understanding.
How long did it took you to read LotR the first time?

I've read 83 books so far. I started reading on October 2003 and I am aiming 1 book per month.
Counting September 2010, that's 84 months. I still need to read 1 book to catch up.
What are your recommendations for me?

The Sea Wolf, by Jack London. Or really anything by him. Or Wolf Brother and its sequels by Michelle Paver.

I don't know what i'll read but i can list it as i go. basically whatever i read is whatever i can get ahold of.

I have a few things that i am about to start on.
1. Mockingjay
2. Saving the world and other extreme sports
3. the Ranger's Apprentice book 1
4. The Ranger's Apprentice book 2
5. Artemis Fowl:the atlantis complex
I have read so many books this year i can't even remember half of them. i did a bunch of rereads as well. I will probably make it seeing as i go to a boarding school and live 1 floor above a library. flamelssecret/hyper_.gif

*The Plays of William Shakespeare (So, plus 36, R and J already have been read thrice) (Ha! I did it!)
*Soulstice, Simon Holt
City of Fallen Angels, Cassandra Clare
The Clockwork Angel, Cassandra Clare
The Clockwork Prince, Cassandra Clare
The Clockwork Princess, Cassandra Clare
*Under the Dome, Stephen King
*Burned, PC and Kristin Cast
*Shadowland, Alyson Noel
Key to the Repository, Melissa de la Cruz
*Radiant Shadows, Melissa Marr
*Thirteen Reason Why, Jay Asher
*Linger, Maggie Stiefvater

And the number of books read since January besides these is innumerable. That sentence didn't work out right and is completely contradictory, but okay.

flamelssecret/hysterical.gif Actually no, it isn't!! There's about 30 mythology and reference books that i've bought and read since January..but I don't want to give away all my research secrets!

And there's lots of crime and historical fiction that I read too, but most of them would not be suitable to mention as they would fall well above our age guidelines

I've read the first three books of A Series of Unfortunate Events. I borrowed it from a school library a few years ago; but I no longer got a chance to read the remaining 10 books (the library doesn't have a copy of them).
I want to buy the 13 books so that I can read them. I only see paperback of the first three books...
Is there a paperback edition of each of the 13 books? Like the Complete Wreck but paperback instead of hardcovers.
The Complete Wreck here in the Philippines costs 5999 pesos (1 US Dollar = 46 Pesos). I'm thinking that I can save more if I will buy the paperback...
